THE ISSUE
Located in the Central Business District of Singapore, Tanjong Pagar is a lively neighbourhood with a rich cafe culture. Yet, for its elderly residents, the trendy district has nothing to offer. As a result, the elderly residents often lack opportunities for social interaction.
OUR AIM
To build a vibrant community and a stronger social support network for elderly residents living in Tanjong Pagar
WHAT WE DO
We organised weekly activities for residents, such as yoga ball drumming, boxing and line dancing, to create a platform for the the elderly to come together and mingle with one another.
IMPACT
67% of participants befriended 5 new neighbours through the programme
72% agreed that the community has grown more vibrant
